With wedding photography and other social events you meet all sorts of people which is part of the reason I love shooting weddings. Because of this, I get asked about my thoughts on equipment, what to buy and how to work a camera. Simply put, like any professional you need the correct tools to produce professional results.
I have clients, guests and fellow photographers ask what equipment I use so here goes…
Canon 5D Mark2, Canon 5D and Canon 1D Mark3. 24-70f2.8, 70-200f2.8, 17-40f4, 15mm fisheye, 50mm f1.2, 85mm f1.2, 580mark2 x2 Flashguns, mobile flash system and plenty of memory cards, cleaning tools battery up hard drives and spare batteries.
You may notice that I have started shooting detail and creative shots with either a Holga or a Hasselblad XPAN, using film. This is simply because both these cameras add characterists to a photograph that is completely unique to any other format.
All the photographs whether film or digital have been processed using Capture 5 Pro or Lightroom 2 and Photoshop. This processing is done on a colour calibrated 24inch dual screen mac pro.
As part of the kit I have sparklers, lanterns and even a bubble machine! I am always looking to add new and exciting ideas to create beautiful photographs. At every wedding I back up your photographs in three different places and store your photographs on a Drobo four tier hard drive robot. What if your hard drive fails? No problem. Its completely backed up and safe once you replace the dead drive with a new one.
So. What does this all really mean for you?
It means that I have invested in making sure your wedding photographs are produced using the finest equipment capturing the most amount of natural light. Rest assured, your photographs are managed in the most professional and safe manner.
Along with the best equipment, the most important thing I bring to every wedding is my creative vision and passion to work with you.
